Your weight goes up or down based on what you do. And in the long run, what you depends completely on your habits.

That is, depending on how you eat and exercise, your weight goes up or down.

For example if you run hard on a particular day, you'll notice that you're less bloated and feeling thinner that day. If you make this a habit and run three times a week, you will lose weight. Simple equation.

Principle 1 - Weight Loss Is All About Habits ... Exercise + Balanced Diet = Thin ... Laziness + Greasey food = Fat!!

On the other hand, if you lie on the couch in front of the TV for a whole day, you'll end up feeling bloated and unhealthy. If you make this a habit, then you will begin to gain weight because of this habit. If your habits are relatively lazy, you will gain weight.

It's the same way with your diet too. If you eat small, regular, balanced meals - Everything will get digested well - And in time, you'll lose weight. If you snack irregularly and your meals are not balanced, you'll find yourself putting on weight.

So, it seems like a simple formula, right? Your habits dictate whether you lose weight or put on weight.

But you probably already knew that, right?

You know that old habits are the reason you find it hard to change. But in our minds, habits are hard-wired to emotions. So, every habit has a pleasant or unpleasant emotion associated with it.

Principle 2 - Habits are tied to feelings in our mind .... Bad habits like laziness, over-eating & sugar are associated with the feeling comfort ... Good habits like self-control, chewing, exercise are wrongly associated with anxiety

 For many people, eating that bar of chocolate or a slice of cheese cake brings the feeling of "comfort".

 Or getting that sugar rush brings the feeling of "happiness".

 For some, eating that large burger or that beef stake brings up the feeling of "freedom" (aka. I'll eat whatever I feel like eating!).

 Eating fast, over-eating or snacking brings the feeling of "satisfaction".

 And inactivity or lying on the couch, brings the feeling of "peace".

I'm sure you know that none of these things (in excess) are good for you.

But maybe, somewhere in your brain, the wrong habits are associated with the wrong feelings.

 Our memories, habits, behaviours are all encoded inside our mind.

 The brain consists of 100 billion little "neurons" hold this information inside them.

 Habits are connections between two or more neurons. So, the link between "chocolate" and "Pleasure" is one neurological connection

 Forming new habits involves making new links between existing pieces of information in your brain. For example, to make a new link between "exercise" and "feeling good"

 And breaking old habits involves breaking old links slowly over time. It takes a little time or a supernatural effort to break the links between "chocolate" and good ...

So, even though your old habits are wired into your brain, they CAN be broken. The key is to figure out how to rewire the connections in your brains.

When you command your mind to start exercising or stop eating, it will automatically reject that command! ... YOUR MIND REJECTS LOUD COMMANDS. But it welcomes calm suggestions.

So, when you command your mind to "start exercising" or "stop eating that cheese cake", by default ... your mind rejects that command and does EXACTLY the opposite!

It's almost like a 5-year old on a toystore. If the child's mother yells at him and says "We're not buying that toy!" ... that child will do exactly the opposite! He will hold his breath, and scream and cry until the mother buys the toy.

Your mind's a lot like that - command it, force it to do something ... and you can pretty much bet it's NOT GOING TO FOLLOW THAT COMMAND.

Instead, if you suggest it when you're in a relaxed state, it will automatically become embedded in your subconscious.

My mum has a fantastic way of getting my dad to do something. Instead of shouting at him, when he's watching his favorite TV show ... She'll slip beside him and whisper, "Sweetie, this sofa is getting so old & uncomfortable. We should redecorate the living room, right?" ... And she gets a comfortable "nod" from him every single time she uses this strategy!

She doesn't quite know it, but she's using hypnosis to plant suggestions in his brain when brain is relaxed and welcoming to suggestions.
